Fall fashion trends for 2022

The weather is starting to feel like Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” ten-minute version, and it is time for pumpkins. Fall is here, and the best part of the season is always the fashion. With a breeze in the air, leaves on the ground, and a PSL, all you need is a stylish fall outfit. Here are some of the hottest fashion trends you need for your fall wardrobe this year.

Leather has always been a “fall thing,”  but you can expect leather from head to toe. From pleather leggings to boots, tank tops, and dresses, leather is IN! Kaia Gerber has found the perfect summer-to-fall transitional wardrobe with just one piece, a leather blazer. You can pair a black leather blazer with shorts, jeans, or dresses; you name it. Adding a leather blazer to your closet can give the biker chic and classy street style. Leather, faux or real, is fresh and edgy and is here to stay this fall.

When choosing the perfect shoe, you want to consider comfort and style, and clogs are the ideal mix. These slip-on shoes keep those precious toes covered from the fall winds, but they are also similar to sandals in form. Clogs typically consist of a wooden heel with a slip-on open-back style. They are versatile for cooler and warmer weather but can also be paired with many outfits. Not only will we be seeing the groovy heels this fall, but they can easily be paired with socks to rock the classic socks and sandals look. You can pair a simple pair of ribbed white socks, tulle socks, ruffle socks, or patterned socks. It will add personality to your footwear and comfort while wearing a heel. But not every clog has to include a heel, brands like Birkenstock, Crocs, and UGG have taken their spin on the clog to create shoes for every aesthetic.

The button-up is always a fashion constant, but you live your Chessy Parent Trap wardrobe dreams this fall. Ditch the slim fit and go for an oversized button-up. This look has a street-style feel with an off-duty model or celebrity vibe. You can even pair your button-up with jeans to create a lightweight and casual fit. The button-down can also dress up with heels, a belt, and gold accessories. An oversized button-down can elevate your everyday wear and your elegant looks.

Mom jeans are a classic fall favorite, but this year the sister of the jean, cargo pants, are fashion-forward. Y2K has made its comeback this past year, and through it, so have cargo pants. These bottoms bring back nostalgia, and their relaxed fit and color make them perfect for fall. Ultimately, cargo pants come back through celebrities parading around in these low-waisted beauties, such as Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid. This utilitarian style can also be seen on skirts this season.

These four hot trends are simply perfect for this fall breeze. Step into the fall season with a wardrobe that not only is fashionable but also expresses yourself. You can elevate your favorite pair of mom jeans with a leather top or your favorite baby top with cargo pants. With fashion, the possibilities are endless.
