Panthers Not Enough for Cubs Solid Game

Case Kiefer & Drew Barron, Staff Writers

Last Friday the Madison Cubs (2-3) took on the Jennings County Panthers (0-5) in Madison’s homecoming football game. The Cubs dominated not only in points, but with yardage as well. The final score was 22 to 6, while the total yards were 381 to the Panthers mere 225. The Cubs offense was just too much for the Panther defense.

The Cubs were not only dominating on the offensive side. The defense only let 6 points on the scoreboard. Senior, Gabe Stoll had a big night for the Cubs with 7 carries for 120 yards. Junior, Carson Howser also had a stellar game for the Cubs running for 31 yards with one carry on the night.

Clay Hamby had 6 receptions on the night for the Cubs for 85 yards receiving. Howser, being a double threat for the Cubs, also had 1 reception for 40 yards. Hamby, Stoll, and  Corbin Hughes all had a touchdown for the Cubs.
