Christmas lights, fires, movies, and mistletoe – all items that shape the spirit of the Christmas holiday. In addition to these staple,s there is Christmas themed music, which has been around as early as 1410. Christmas music, especially songs about love, are played virtually everywhere. As the holiday season quickly approaches love is in the air as well as the radio. Couples scramble to find the perfect gift for their significant other when it could be as easy as turning on the radio to that perfect Christmas love song.

Artist across the globe have made Christmas music in almost every genre with their own original spin on the traditional festive idea. As the years have gone on many original Christmas songs have been written. There is something for everyone. Especially for couples, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You,” will spread the love and cheer. A couple other original Christmas pop hits that couples can listen to this holiday season are “Mistletoe,” and “Christmas Love,” by Justin Bieber. Such songs will surely warm the heart. One of the best parts about winter is being able to stay inside on a snowy night. “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” by Ingrid Michaelson illustrates what it is like being in love during the holiday season and a more important aspect to the holiday season than receiving gifts; Christmas is about being surrounded with people you care about, not about presents under the tree.
